Bridge Trail Hike

Location: Bridge Trail – Meet at Waterstone Outdoors Address: 101 East Wiseman Ave, Fayetteville, WV 25840, Fayette County When: June 21st at 9:00 AM About This Event: Join us for a morning hike on the Bridge Trail, a scenic route that offers views of the New River Gorge Bridge, beautiful forested paths, and a refreshing way to stay active in nature. This hike is great for those looking to enjoy the outdoors and connect with others in a relaxed, supportive group. What to Expect: • A guided hike with moderate terrain • Forested trail with occasional elevation changes • Opportunities to view the bridge and surrounding gorge How to Prepare: • Wear sturdy walking or hiking shoes • Bring water and dress for the weather • Bug spray and sunscreen recommended • Trekking poles optional but helpful on inclines Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above. All hikes are made possible through Get Active In The Park, a partnership between Active SWV and the National Park Service. Get Active in the Park activities are perfect for grand-families, groups with multiple interests, and individuals. All are welcome! Youth are encouraged to attend but must be accompanied by a guardian and the adult must stay on site during the activity. Get Active in the Park is an innovative partnership between the National Park Service and Active Southern West Virginia. Trained Community Captains deliver free, beginner-level instructional programs to the New River Gorge region. Get Active in the Park empowers our community to see outdoor spaces as a place for health and wellness to take place.
