This isn’t about saying goodbye with sadness alone.
It’s about celebrating a woman from the mountains who reminded generations of Appalachians to be proud of where we come from, dream big, give generously, laugh often, be unapologetically ourselves and leave the world a little brighter than we found it.

So, grab your quilt. Tease up your hair. Bring a children’s book. Wear something sparkly.
Let’s make Fayetteville shine a little brighter for our Appalachian Queen-Dolly Parton.
