Gathering on the Lawn: A Mary Oliver Evening

We’ll gather as dusk settles and spend the evening with a new documentary portrait of the poet – her life, her work, and the close attention she gave to the natural world.

Bring a lawn chair or cozy blanket, bug spray, water or something to drink, and a light layer for after dark. A small flashlight or phone light may be helpful for the walk back, and the lawn may be a little damp, so plan your shoes accordingly.

There’s no homework, formal discussion, or previous familiarity with Mary Oliver required. Just come settle in beneath the evening sky.
