DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and informational hike and learn about foraging wild plants. Our beautiful area is full of edible goodies! Join local expert Mitchell “Berry Man” Dech as he leads us through wetlands\, woods\, and fields to discover the various plants\, trees\, buds\, and flowers that can be harvested. This event will be hands-on exploring to discover\, discuss\, and learn about edible plants in their habitats. Come prepared with comfortable shoes for moderate hiking\, approximately 2 miles. Be prepared for all weather as we will be going rain or shine! Bring a cloth bag or basket as gathering and snacking as we hike is encouraged!\nSaturday April 26th from 10-1pm

DESCRIPTION:Artemis Rally 2026 at Expo Adventure April 29-May 2\, 2026\nWe are mixing it up for 2026. Artemis Rally will have it’s base bivouac at Ace Adventure Resort in beautiful West Virginia.\nArtemis Rally 2026 April 29-May 2\, 2026\nArtemis Rally is celebrating it’s fourth year and this time we have something special planned for you ladies.\nFirst thing first- NO MORE CANOES\, We have removed the canoes from Artemis Rally.\n\nThe ONLY event of this type. This rally is for the determined\, adventure seeking women. Artemis Rally will test the participants both physically and mentally. Artemis Rally utilizes strategy\, navigation and other outdoor activities.\nArtemis Rally will take participants on a 4-day adventure like never before. This adventure rally will take the teams across some of the most rugged parts of WV to experience some of the most beautiful territory in the USA. All teams will be required to camp together in a stationary base bivouac\, OP will provide participants with roomy 4-person tents.\nPRE-PARTY RECEPTION is Tuesday evening April 28th\, 6pm to 8:00PM – The Lost Paddle restaurant at Ace Adventure Resort. Light Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails available.\nChallenges available to acquire points during the rally.\nChallenges -Mandatory*Navigation – GPS (On X\, Gaia\, Google Maps\, Garmin\, On Trail \,etc)\nChallenges-Optional\n* Sporting Clays – 12 gauge shotgun – every team member uses the same unit – no personal shotguns allowed* Archery* Axe throwing* Whitewater Rafting – Class 3-4* Zip lining – Multiple runs* Hiking* Swimming* Winching Challenge(s)* Spare tire/jack challenge* Traction Board Challenge* Pull Pal Challenge* Surprise Challenges* And MORE\nThe final day will include a social hour\, formal dinner (cocktail attire) and awards ceremony.\n\nTeam – Requirements\n\nA team entry will consist of a two person team and one vehicle ONLY\, If you plan on entering two or more vehicles\, that will be considered as multiple team entries. All types of vehicles are welcomed to participate\, Stock SUV/Pickups\, Slightly modified or highly modified\, Hybrid or E-vehicles are welcomed. No provisions for charging EV are provided. All vehicles are required to be street legal and displaying a valid tag. NO SXS are allowed\, street legal or otherwise.
