NewRoots Community Farm is a production demonstration farm that offers an annual apprenticeship and various workshops around market access, land access, technical production, and business management. We are excited to announce the addition of our first annual Farm Field Day featuring guest speakers from WVU Extension, WVSU Extension, and Natural Resources Conservation District to provide attendees with opportunities to learn about small scale agricultural production practices on an active working farm.
Topics for this field day will focus on crop and orchard production on the small farm.
We believe that bringing farmers and service providers together can help to make services more responsive to farmers needs. This leads to farmers being better equipped with the resources needed to run a successful farm.
