New River Gorge Trail Festival
June 23-24
Experience New River Gorge National Park through this one-of-a-kind event! Starting at the Charlie McCoy Town Park in Fayetteville, West Virginia, this challenging trail race goes into the National Park, through the forest, and loops back to the start, offering views of the river hundreds of feet below. With significant elevation gain, each race offers a difficult yet scenic course. The New River Gorge National Park offers a wide variety of activities and sites to see post-race as well!
50k Course Description
With nearly 6,000 ft. of elevation gain and loss on single track trails, the 50k is a course that will push you…but the views will be worth it. The rhododendron tunnels, high passages along the rim, breathtaking vistas, and historic forests perfectly represent West Virginia as Wild and Wonderful!
Half Marathon Course Description
Explore the National Park Trail System with this challenging yet scenic course. The trail surface consists primarily of dirt and gravel. Take in stunning views of the New River Gorge Bridge on Dalton Trail and gaze at the gorge below while running over Kaymoor Top!
5K Course Description
Run under the longest single span arch bridge in the western hemisphere on this challenging 5k trail! This dirt single-track course has 500ft of elevation gain.

Merchants Mixer at Waterstone Outdoors Patio

The Fayetteville Merchant organization is back! If you are with a business in Fayetteville, you are invited to attend the Fayetteville Merchants Mixer! Holly Fussel and Nicholas Tankersley are hosting a merchant mixer to bring all the merchants together to brainstorm and discuss upcoming events and projects in town. The mixer will be on the Water Stone Outdoors patio area on Thursday June 22 at 5:30pm. All businesses encouraged to attend!
New River Humane Society Fundraiser at the Freefolk Brewery
6pm-8pm
Come paint with us at Freefolk Brewery for a Paint & Sip benefiting the New River Humane Society! A portion of each ticket purchased for this event will go directly to the New River Humane Society. This event will be held outside under the pavilion. We will be painting Retro Owl, a beginner friendly painting! No prior painting experience is necessary. Come join us and follow step-by-step instructions over a 2 hour class with all materials provided including a 16×20 inch canvas. Food & beverage will be available for purchase. Join us for a fun & memorable night with family & friends over a great playlist!

The Fayetteville Farmers Market is set up every Saturday from 8am -12:30pm off Wiseman Ave in the Fayette County Courthouse parking lot. Local producers will be set up with a variety of seasonal vegetables, microgreens, breads, jellies, baked goods, meats, eggs, honey, maple syrup, plants, flowers, soaps, candles arts and more.

Gritty Chix Mud Run is back to ACE Adventure Resort this summer and we are ready to jump back into all that mud! No matter what Gritty Chix wear (athletic wear, costumes, or dresses), no matter how they look (aflame with glitter, game day face paint, or gloriously au natural), no matter how they start (sprinting, jogging, or moseying along), no matter how hard they laugh or grit their teeth along the way, they cross the finish line as mud covered and as triumphant as they want to! Join us for some fun, calming, and interactive kids yoga classes!
Each kids yoga class with Katie starts with ‘getting out of our heads and onto our mats’ and a breath/mindfulness exercise. Children are introduced to yoga asanas (poses) in age-appropriate ways including through games and imagination.
It is about having fun while learning about mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. Each class ends in a meditation suitable for littles.
