We want to invite you to come on an adventure with us and discover all of the nature that Fayetteville has to offer. We are celebrating what makes Fayetteville so wild with a nature festival from August 9th through the 11th. From educational programs designed specifically for youngsters and adults to guided hikes in the New River Gorge along with adventure activities. Fayetteville’s Wild Weekend will offer a variety of activities and workshops for all ages and interests. Come and celebrate the features, creatures, and culture that make Fayetteville the unique place that it is. Stay tuned for schedule updates as more events are finalized. Enjoy activities from nature paddle boarding tours to salamander talks. We will have a nature market and educational booths set up at the Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau on August 10th from 9 am to 12:30 pm. 1:00pm-3:00pm Hands-on activities and nature booths. WV Department of Environmental Protection Youth Environmental Program, Watershed Improvement Branch, National Parks Service and Save Our Stream Program will be doing crafts, hands-on activities, and have a fun bug booth at the Fayetteville Visitors Center. The National Park Service will be set up with a nature track table.
5:00pm-7:30pm Long Point Evening Stroll at the Long Point trailhead parking area on Newton Road, just off Gatewood Road in Fayetteville. Join National Park Ranger Shari Quinn and take in spectacular views of the New River Gorge.
6:00pm-8:30pm Shamanic Medicine | Kambô, Rapeh & Sananga New River Yoga Studio (R$)
