We want to highlight some of the positive things going down in town to bring a smile to your face. Thank you to all the essential folks and helpers who are serving on the front lines and supporting our community!
Fayetteville Locals Team Up To Make Face Shields
A local Fayetteville man and other members of the community are putting their 3D printers to good use by making face shields. Geoff Tiny Elliott started a group where locals have teamed together to print face shields for medical personnel in southern WV and around the state. There is going to be a huge need for more things like this in the weeks ahead and you can contribute to the cause. If you would like to help, you can donate at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-us-protect-the-heroes. Thanks Tiny Elliott, Clifford Sullivan and everyone else making shields!

Community Animal Hunt
Communities all over have started doing “bear hunts” in their communities with teddy bears popping up in windows. The activity has evolved to include all sorts of stuffed animals. Families can make a game out of seeing how many animals they can spot in people’s windows. Join in the fun by placing your favorite animal in your window. You do not have to go this extra with your set up, but Amy is totally winning with Alfred the shark and Betty the Bat.
Light Up Fayetteville
The Fayetteville Beautification Committee would like for businesses and residents to let their lights shine. DO NOT GO out and buy new, just use what you have to LIGHT UP OUR TOWN with HOPE. If you have green lights, white lights, or any color lights feel free to hang them in your windows, doors or on your shrubs. Stars would be great as we are all wishing on the first star every night for this to be over soon. Post pictures on your Facebook pages or email to us and we will be happy to share them on the town site vancecz@msn.com (we included the post that went around last week about lighting a green candle)
There is light at the end of the tunnel, we are all praying for it to come soon. Until then this will give us something to enjoy on our walks around town. We hope other towns will do the same and let our little lights shine!
