Fall Color Update
Thank you for sending in all of the beautiful fall photos. We have enjoyed seeing your adventures. With windy weather and rain, we have lost a lot of leaves, but we are still hanging on to little pops of color.
Virtual Halloween Decorating Contest & Costume Contest
This is your chance to get your Halloween on! We are looking for Fayetteville’s best-decorated house and business. Open to all Fayetteville residents sponsored by the Fayetteville Beautification Committee. To enter the decorating contest post a photo to our page and email info@visitfayettevillewv.com with your name, address, and phone number. Prizes will be awarded for first place and runner up. There be an additional category this year for most creative candy dispenser. for most creative Fayetteville will be decked out for Halloween providing a festive spooky backdrop for photo fun.
Virtual Costume Contest
Start planning your costumes now. Entries can be submitted October 26-31 at 11pm. Show off your 2020 Halloween costumes by posting a photo to our page or tag us @visitfayettevillewv.com.

The Lewis House Pumpkins
October 24-November 2
Lewis House Main Street Oak Hill
Take a short drive to our neighboring town of Oak Hill and see the Lewis House light up with pumpkins. The pumpkins will be lit up and on display on October 24th through November 2nd.

Live Music At Great Googly Moogly
Come hang out at the Great Googly Moogly every Wednesday from pm5-6pm. Brian & Drew from the kind Thieves will be playing live music out front of the store. This event is weather permitting.

Charlie’s Pub Halloween Party
We’re getting an early jump on the holiday so you can still go trick or treating on Halloween!! Come join us on Friday, Oct. 30 for a good old time featuring a special guest DJ and $200 in bar tabs to be given away for the costume contest!! Doors open at 4
Ghouls Night Out Fayetteville
5pm-9pm
Grab your ghoul friends for a spooktacular time in downtown Fayetteville with a night of shopping, eateries, and fun! Dress in costume and come out to shop after hours. Ghouls Night will take place on October 30th from 5pm-9pm. The Fayetteville Visitor Center is partnering up with the Fayette County Chamber to bring you Ghouls Night Out. Chamber members can pick up a wrist band that will score you extra treats during the evening.
Perk: Chamber members and their employees get a wristband for discounts or treats from participating businesses.
How: Stop by the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center to get your wristbands from now until the 29th. Can’t make it? Stop by the Fayetteville CVB on October 30th for your wristbands!
You do not have to be a Chamber member to attend, but it is a perk. Masks are required.

The Freefolk Brewery-live music with Dina Hornbaker from 6pm-8pm outside. The Freefolk will be releasing their latest “Wild and Free” series brew, the ‘Virginia Big Eared Bat’, which is featuring the federally endangered species we have right here in WV. Part of those proceeds will be donated to the West Virginia Cave Conservancy. The beer is a butternut brown with roasted chicory, and we sourced the butternut from New Roots Farm. Freefolk will also be featuring a spiced hot cider that weekend to help keep folks warm, along with two firepits.

Join us for a spooktacular time for Fayetteville’s first ever pop up Witches & Warlocks Walk/Bike. It’s time to mask up and get out your hats, brooms, capes and more as costumes are highly encouraged. Come with your own coven on a self-guided adventure around town exploring haunted stops along the way. We are encouraging social distancing with map pick ups from 8am to 10am at the Fayetteville Visitor Center. Help us with our coat drive.We will have a bin collecting coat donations for Warm Hands Warm Hearts on the Visitor Center porch. A big thanks to our grand supremes Ally McAllister & Melanie Seiler Hames for coming up with creative ways to get people active outdoors and organizing the Halloween fun!
