Take a guided tour through historic downtown Fayetteville after dark. Hear tales of local legends and haunted happenings as you explore by the town’s oldest buildings and mysterious corners. It’s a hauntingly good way to connect with Fayetteville’s history and folklore.

Stay at the Historic Morris Harvey House Inn

Step into Fayetteville’s favorite historic inn — decked out in full spooky-season splendor. The Morris Harvey House features lavish Halloween décor, cozy rooms, and a touch of haunted-house charm.

Saturday, October 26 | Early Morning

One of the most magical Fayetteville traditions! Watch the morning fog roll across the New River Gorge as witches and warlocks take to the water on paddleboards dressed in full costume. This event fills up fast — registration is required and space is limited.

Hauntings of Appalachia at the Love Hope Cetner for the Arts

Descend into the darkness at the Haunted Coal Mine presented by Theatre WV, where the historic Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine transforms into a thrilling underground adventure.

Nightmare on Main – Oak Hill, WV

Start with the pumpkin drop-off at the Historic Lewis House from 4–6 PM on October 24, then catch Hocus Pocus at the Lively Amphitheater and enjoy the pumpkin house lighting.
Continue the fun with Trunk-or-Treat and downtown festivities on October 25 from 6–9 PM — the perfect way to celebrate Halloween weekend in Oak Hill.

Viewing the pumpkins at the Lewis House has to be a must on your Halloween bucket list!
