Farm Fresh Fun in Fayetteville

The Fayette County Farmers Market is pleasing to the eye and the palate. The colors are vibrant and the tastes exhilarating. The trucks and canopies line up and are open for your consideration. All fresh and local produce, plants, baked goods, and preserves are available for purchase. As the growing season progresses the bounty of vegetables and fruits multiplies. Lettuce, corn, beans, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, eggs, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, squash, and onions are just a few of the fresh goods you might find. Many of the breads, cookies, and pepperoni rolls will be baked just that morning.

Don’t be surprised if you run into your neighbors, some cyclists, travelers from out-of-state, and morning walkers. You might even happen upon some local musicians playing traditional music from the front porch of the Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau (FCVB) where you’ll for sure find some fresh coffee and maybe a sip of cool lemonade, too.

Beginning May 12th and running every Saturday until the end of October, the Farmers Market is the place to be in town from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Look for the crowd in the parking lot between Diogi’s restaurant and the Fayetteville CVB on Court Street just after you turn off Route 19.
