West Virginia Hero’s of 2020

Jay Young with Adventures on The Gorge has started the West Virginia Heroes of 2020 Series showcasing the helpers, heroes and volunteers who are stepping up in the midst of the global pandemic to make their communities better places and to ease our path in these difficult times. The latest episode features Tim Naylor who is a rock star for the Fayetteville community. Tune in to hear about Tim’s latest community video projects uplifting our town. He will also be discussing the Fayetteville Virtual Talent Show. Check out the video here

The Grove Concert Streaming Series

The Grove is doing a Streaming Concert Series for local and regional artists to perform from the safety of their home, LIVE on The Grove’s Facebook Page. We’ve got some amazing WV musicians lined up for this month, and more to come!

Fayette County Virtual Talent Show

Saturday April 25th at 7pm

A virtual talent show so residents of Fayette County can show off their talents and win some prizes during the Stay At Home Order. Submit a video 90 seconds or less to be entered in to the talent show. Prizes and judging to be determined. Only rules are you must be a resident of Fayette County or have strong ties to Fayette County and your video must be new and shot following all rules of social distancing. Wild Art & Wonderful Things Art Sale

Brannon Ritterbush, owner of Wild Art and Wonderful Things is hosting a weekly live art sale showcasing local artists. You can tune into the Wild Art & Wonderful Things Facebook page this Saturday at 12pm to join in the fun. This week’s sale will be featuring some lovely paintings by even more lovely local artists.

Mayor Norman Daily Updates 

Mayor Norman (the cat) at Maggie’s Pub is certainly spreading positivity to the community by posting his daily antics (courtesy of Josh Gray) during this business shutdown. Norman has many many admirers and Josh is helping him deal with the social distancing and we are all here for it. Check Maggie’s Pub on Facebook to follow Norman’s daily log. Here is an update. Norman’a log has inspired some to donate to the New River Humane Society!

Everyday they will provide a meal that is simple and easy to heat up. Every component of the meal will be vacuum sealed (as shown) and ready to eat. The protein will be suggested to grill or sear but is sous vide to the appropriate temperature. All you will need is a pot of boiling water. The meals will be prepared for 2 or 4, but upon request we will cater to your needs. The meals will be given to you in the boxes shown with the entree.
