The New River Gorge Festival is back May 12th- 14th at ACE Adventure Resort in West Virginia. Let’s celebrate one of Earth’s oldest rivers that we all love to paddle, hike, bike, and explore. Many rivers have their own events such as Gauley Fest, Cheat Fest, StoneyFest, and MooseFest, but somehow the New River got left out. Not anymore! Meet friends new and old in the New River Gorge this spring and experience a weekend full of outdoor fun, adventure films, live music, vendors, camping, and more!

8am-12:30pm W Wiseman Ave. Courthouse parking lot
The Fayetteville Farmers Market is set up every Saturday from 8am -12:30pm off Wiseman Ave in the Fayette County Courthouse parking lot. Local producers will be set up with a variety of seasonal vegetables, microgreens, breads, jellies, baked goods, meats, eggs, honey, maple syrup, plants, flowers, soaps, candles arts and more.

Join us for some fun, calming, and interactive kids yoga classes!
Each kids yoga class with Katie starts with ‘getting out of our heads and onto our mats’ and a breath/mindfulness exercise. Children are introduced to yoga asanas (poses) in age-appropriate ways including through games and imagination.
It is about having fun while learning about mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. Each class ends in a meditation suitable for littles.
NEW RIVER GORGE RACE & ROLLING RODEO
New River
Are you the fastest paddler in the New River Gorge? Or maybe you love surfing every wave on the river and seeing how many tricks you can throw in each rapid? This May ACE Adventure Gear and ACE Adventure Resort present the New River Gorge Race & Rolling Rodeo Competition. As part of the adventure offered at the New River Gorge Festival it’s your chance to compete with local boaters and legendary paddlers in West Virginia.
The rolling rodeo will consist of a ramp competition, river feature surfing and downriver trick competition scheduled to take place at Cunard to Lower Railroad Rapid on the New River. At flows over 20,000 cfs we will move the event to a primary surf competition on the New River Dries Put-in Waves. Judges will score participants at each location. At the end of the day the judges will meet collectively to review the video and score each competitor again. All scores will be added together with awards going to the highest scoring participants.
The Gorge Race is an intermediate/advanced class IV kayak and raft race in the New River Gorge. The race will feature a mass start from Cunard to Fayette Station, and participants will compete in classes of three or more of their most common paddlers and crafts.

Mother’s Day Paint & Sip at the Freefolk Brewery

Join us at Freefolk Brewery on Sunday May 14th for a Mother’s Day Paint & Sip from 12-2pm! $35/person includes all materials to create your masterpiece including a 16×20 inch canvas, paints, apron, easel and step-by-step instructions. Food and beverage will be available for purchase! This class is beginner and family friendly, and open to adults and kids 12+ years and older. Must be 21+ to purchase and/or consume alcohol.
