Fayetteville’s First Friday

For Fayetteville’s First Friday August First Friday we will be making a splash with a pop-up splash pad in the Water Stone Outdoors Parking lot.  We will have lots of summer treats and fun lined up in addition to vendors, live music and extended shopping hours downtown including snow cones!

First Fridays will be held the first Friday of the month from June- September. Businesses are encouraged to stay open late for extended shopping hours. Court Street will be closed to host vendors, food trucks, artists, and more!
We hope this event brings together the local community and visitors to celebrate downtown Fayetteville.
Shop, eat, gather and explore everything downtown Fayetteville has to offer. This is a juried artisan market as we want to showcase the talent in and around Fayetteville focusing on handmade items. For vendor information email info@visitfayettevillewv.com

Come out and join us for our Flying Squirrel Release Party on Saturday, August 5th at the Brewhouse in Hico! Our seasonal Spruce Tip Pale Ale is almost ready – we foraged local red spruce tips from the West Virginia mountains for this one!

It’s part of our Wild and Free Series, which highlights regionally endangered species and works to promote ecological restoration and conservation. The Flying Squirrel  is listed as federally endangered and primarily uses high-altitude Red Spruce trees  as their home. Logging has taken a toll on red spruce, and amazing local organization, CASRI works to restore red spruce in the area, in turn allowing the Flying Squirrel to regain habitat! Part of the overall proceeds will be directly donated to CASRI.

LIVE music with Ryan Brandenburg and Aura Rise!! Official posters and 4-packs will be available for purchase, as well as raffles throughout the day! Sassy Pig BBQ Food Truck is permanently on sight to satisfy all your food cravings, tons of games and outdoor space, and totally kid and dog friendly!
