Enjoy the thrill of the chill! It’s bold to be cold! Join us as we dive into the New Year with a Polar Swim! The Fayette Station Polar Swim is an annual New Year’s Day tradition where locals gather to bring in the new year. All are welcome to join in at your own risk. Meet us at 12:45pm at Fayette Station to participate in the plunge at 1:00pm. Participants must sign a liability waiver to participate. Space is limited to 50 participants and participants must preregister. We encourage participants to carpool and use the upper lot at Fayette Station. Do not cross over the railroad tracks.

Polar Plunge Ace Adventure Resort

Are you looking for a great way to start off the New Year? What better way to start 2022 than taking a plunge into our Waterpark and donate to charity while you’re at it! ACE Adventure Resort is hosting a Polar Bear Plunge where all proceeds go towards the New River Humane Society. Stick around Saturday and support the New River Humane society by taking an icy plunge into ACE Lake. Our Polar Plunge is happening New Years Day @ high noon. $10 donation to the New River Humane Society gets you a spot in the lineup to take the plunge!

This easy 2.25 (4.5 total) mile hike down to the New River from Ansted follows the Mill creek. This scenic trail includes a foundation from an old mill, waterfalls, mines and more. The trail head is on Hawks Nest Rd ( turn by the Walgreens and go under route 60 )
See the best of the Southern West Virginia’s parks when you join one of our hikes. Hikes go at a leisurely pace, and are led by Community Captains. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy closed toe shoes. You are welcome to bring walking sticks/hiking poles for assistance, and are encouraged to bring your own water and sunscreen. The length of each hike may vary. We are excited to announce our Weekly Women’s Group Ride will be on Sundays! Sundays at 11 AM, Erin Larsen and Sarah Coffey will be leading a beginner to intermediate ride for women who are looking to ride with other women, explore the Arrowhead Trails with a group, and have a good time!Meet at the Bike Farm at 11 AM. The length of the ride will depend on the group but will range from 6-8 miles.
